A Tokyo Metro first: Automatic money exchanger to be placed at station!

 

Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshimitsu Oku), Metro Commerce Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeru Ishii) and Gaitame.com Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Jun Takeuchi) will place an "automatic money exchanger" that enables foreign currency to be conveniently exchanged into Japanese yen in Meiji-jingumae <Harajuku> Station on Tokyo Metro's Chiyoda Line., and will offer services using that exchanger starting from 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 24, 2017.

The intention behind this initiative, a first by Tokyo Metro, is to help enhance the level of convenience offered to foreign visitors to Japan based on the further growth in inbound demand that has accompanied an increase in those visitors who use Tokyo Metro.

The availability of this automatic money exchanger will allow passengers to conveniently exchange multiple kinds of foreign currency (totaling thirteen) to Japanese yen 365 days a year from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM.

Going forward as well, Tokyo Metro will continue endeavoring to further elevate the level of convenience offered to foreign visitors to Japan who use Tokyo Metro.
