Tokyo Metro to release English version of "Tokyo Metro App"called "Tokyo Metro App for Tourists!"


Tokyo Metro (Head Office in: Taito Ward, Tokyo; President: Akiyoshi Yamamura) is planning on releasing "Tokyo Metro App for Tourists," a mobile application to help foreign passengers visiting Japan use Tokyo Metro with greater convenience and comfort, on Friday, March 30, 2018.

This application was developed with the aim of enabling foreign passengers visiting Japan to enjoy Tokyo while moving seamlessly around the city by providing them with information to help them smoothly resolve any issues that they might encounter upon using Tokyo Metro. Compared to "Tokyo Subway Navigation for Tourists," Tokyo Metro's application dedicated to train transfer information that has already been available for use, by virtue of being fully based online, "Tokyo Metro App for Tourists" makes it possible for Tokyo Metro to constantly provide the most up-to-date information. Moreover, a "feedback function" allowing foreign passengers visiting Japan to submit their opinions on the application has been configured on the "Tokyo Metro App for Tourists" menu. Feedback submitted by passengers will be used as a reference in releasing subsequent versions of the application and adding functions to it with the aim of further enhancing the level of convenience that it offers.
