In the Case There is No Pass Office at Your Local Station
Purchase a regular ticket for a Tokyo Metro line and use it to take a train to the nearest station with a pass office. You will be able to purchase your pass there.
Traveling to the pass office
This method of traveling to the pass office by using a regular ticket valid on the Tokyo Metro network is ideal for persons wanting to purchase a Student/Commuter Railway Pass and for those wishing to receive a refund.
Please note that this does not apply to purchases made at Nakano, Nishi-funabashi and Ayase Stations.
Getting there
After purchasing a ticket for the journey to the nearest pass office, tell the fare gate attendant you are planning to purchase/refund a pass. The attendant will mark this on your ticket.
Give the marked ticket to the attendant at the pass office when purchasing/refunding your pass to receive a return ticket. (Please use this ticket at a manned fare gate when leaving the station with a pass office.)
Returning to your station
When purchasing a pass or receiving a refund at a pass office, ask the attendant for a ride voucher (josha-sho) for your return journey.
When You've Lost Your Pass
Report your missing pass to the nearest pass office or station. If your lost pass is found, a station or pass office attendant will contact you using the information you provided when you purchased the pass. (Lost magnetic passes CANNOT be reissued.)
If your lost pass is found after you have purchased a new one, you may request a refund for your new pass using the following method:
The amount originally paid for the pass - [ten-day interval (less than 10 days rounded up to 10 days) amount used + 220 yen handling fee] = Refund amount
Please buy a new pass for the interval of your choice, and receive a refund for the old unnecessary pass as follows.
Refund amount = regular passenger fare - [fare used during 10 days (period under 10 days will also be treated as such) + 220 yen handling fee]
- *Note 1: The following periods are considered as 10 days:
- January 10 to January 19
- February 25 to March 4
- August 25 to September 4
- *Note 2: When you've lost your PASMO card pass, your pass can be reissued. For details on PASMO card, click on the link below.
