Ticket TypesThe Student/Commuter Railway Pass allows you to take unlimited rides between stations on the specified route.
FaresPlease use the fare search (Japanese only), by inputting the route you will take, to find out how much your railway pass will cost. (Child's fare is half the adult fare. Figures are rounded up to the nearest 10-yen interval.) Valid periodOne, three, or six-month passes are available. Valid routesThe route specified when the pass was purchased is displayed on the pass. You must pay additional fare when traveling outside the specified route. If the route you have specified for your Student/Commuter Railway Pass is included on the graph below, your pass will be valid on any of the Tokyo Metro lines within the listed intervals. ![]()
If the route for your Student/Commuter Railway Pass includes the Hibiya Line between Ginza and Kasumigaseki stations, you may also travel on the Marunouchi Line between those stations.
Purchasing a Student/Commuter Railway PassPurchasing a new pass: Renewing your pass: RefundsWhen refunding a valid railway pass, the number of months used will be deducted from the original purchase price of the pass, along with a ¥210 handling fee. You will be required to produce identification when requesting a refund. As Railway Passes are issued in one-month increments, refunds for the unused portion of a pass will also be refunded based on the number of FULL months remaining. For example, if you have used one month and one day of a 3-month pass, a full two months' fare will be deducted, in addition to a ¥210 handling fee. The refund calculation method is as follows:
The following calculation method is used when refunding a pass within 7 days of its taking effect. Pass fare - ((regular round trip ticket fare × number of days) + handling fee 210 yen) = Refund When there is no Pass Office at your local stationPurchase a regular ticket for a Tokyo Metro line and use it to take a train to the nearest station with a Pass Office. Purchase your pass there. Traveling to the Pass Office Getting there Returning to your station When you've lost your passReport your missing pass to the nearest Pass Office or station. If your lost pass is found, a station or Pass Office attendant will contact you using the information you provided when you purchased the pass. Passes not containing contact information will be kept at the station where they were issued. (Lost passes CANNOT be reissued except for PASMO card railway passes.) If your lost pass is found after you have purchased a new one, you may request a refund for your new pass using the following method: The amount originally paid for the pass - (ten-day interval [less than 10 days rounded up to 10 days] amount used + handling fee of 210 yen )= Refund |
