Tokyo Metro operates the Tokyo Metro Academy, which offers online courses and on-site training in Japan for overseas railway operators, and pursues new contracts such as the development of railway-related training programs. Tokyo Metro Academy was established in March 2022 during the COVID-19 pandemic, with Training in Tokyo commencing in November 2023. Each training session features Tokyo Metro's expertise and experience in ensuring the safe and stable operation of urban railways.
Moving forward, we will continue to expand the training lineup and pursue new business opportunities, such as developing training programs for railway-related organizations based on the needs of participants. Through these efforts, we respond to diverse needs related to the development of local transportation services and contribute to the sustainable development of transportation services and cities worldwide.
In addition, through its training business, Tokyo Metro develops and provides railway-related training programs tailored to the needs of overseas railway authorities and operators. At the same time, with a view toward future participation in O&M projects, the company is steadily accumulating know-how and a track record in training programs for local personnel. As an example of these initiatives, Tokyo Metro concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with FEATI University in the Republic of the Philippines in 2025 to provide technical cooperation and consultancy for FEATI University's educational activities.
