This section provides information about actual or expected delays of 15 minutes or more for train services.
Through proactive collaboration with different regions and external parties, we will help contribute to the success of the Tokyo 2020 Games, and, looking ahead to the future development of Tokyo, seek so create an attractiveness and vitality to the city while contributing to the everyday lives of the residents and visitors to it.
We will collaborate closely with communities along our train routes and with railway companies we provide through service with to further unearth and advertise the appeal of such areas, thereby helping raise its value.
In addition to social media, free publications/pamphlets, and video content such as TV commercials, we will also unearth and advertise the appeal of the regions around the city through interactive events open to the public and through the AND STORY project.
[Tokyo Metro × AND STORY]
At each of our 179 stations Tokyo Metro contributes to the charming nature of Tokyo by hosting AND STORY events, where stories of the local area and the people who live there are shared, and by running a sharing website that connects experienced-providers with potential participants.
We will work closely with other railway companies through events at train depots and mutual PR campaigns to promote the attractiveness of regions, including areas along through service sections.
In addition to working with event committees along our routes, we will also further increase cooperation with organizations such as area management councils, local governments and shopping streets as part of initiatives to foster regional appeal together with all other groups along our routes who are passionate about revitalizing their local communities.
We will further accelerate exchanges with the communities around our stations as we seek to create a bustling atmosphere through participation and advertising of local events.
We will develop railway facilities linked to urban development projects planned for implementation around our stations as we seek to build attractive spaces that will become the face of the local area.
As a new initiative, we will publicize issues faced by each of our stations and contribute to further urban development revitalization of the areas around the stations by enabling early cooperation with government agencies and urban developers.
We will expand the open recruitment type collaboration projects that have been in place thus far. In addition to providing barrier-free facilities, we will also publicize the various issues faced at each of our stations, including congestion and other problems, as we seek to build attractive metro station spaces in collaboration with government agencies and urban development companies.
Tokyo Metro will proceed with the construction and opening of the Toranomon Hills Station, which it has been entrusted with by the Urban Renaissance Agency, as part of efforts toward the building of a base for international business and exchange that is conducive toward everyday living, and the improvement of the region's capabilities to act as a transport hub, both of which were requests of the local area.
As part of the redevelopment projects for the Toranomon Station area, we will construct a station plaza within the building and expand the width of the platform for trains heading in the direction of Shibuya. In order to alleviate congestion at existing entrances and exits, additional entrances/exists and barrier-free facilities, such as elevators and escalators, will be installed.
Through open innovation, we can create new business and value by combining the management resources of the Tokyo Metro Group with ideas and technologies from external parties.
We aim to provide new value to our customers and society in a way that captures potential future changes in the social makeup of Japan, and to achieve this we will develop initiatives based around the three themes detailed below.
Draw out the vitality of the areas along our routes by maintaining and improving health
Contribute to the formation of sustainable local communities through the creation of "Connections"
Provide new forms of value in movement in line with such things as the diversification of working patterns to further improve the city's functions
Examinations of methods for investing in venture companies, co-creation with accelerator programs, etc.

We will help find solutions to the issues of congestion and back up of passenger flow by providing smooth mobility services tailored to customers' needs, a range of seamless and unified transport options, thereby creating new value in the field of mobility, a universal transportation service that is convenient and easy to understand for each and every passenger.
