These are great value tickets that can be used on Tokyo Metro and other lines in Tokyo.
24-hour tickets that can be used freely for 24 hours from the first use and 1-day open tickets that can be used freely from the first train until the last train on a specific date are also available.

Tokyo Metro 24-hour Ticket

This ticket allows you to ride freely on trains for 24 hours, including on the subsequent day*, after it is used for the first time.

Tokyo Metro Student 24-hour Ticket

This is a tickets for students, designed specifically for educational excursions such as field trips.
Purchase this ticket from applicable travel agents.

Tokyo Metro PASMO One-Day Ticket

This is a PASMO ticket that allows you to ride freely from the first train until the last train over the course of one day.
Can be used as part of your own PASMO.

  • Can be used until the same time as when the ticket was first used on the previous day.

A ticket allows unlimited rides on Tokyo Metro for 24 hours from first use. Tickets can be bought in advance or on the day.

Can only be purchased by junior high school, high school and vocational school students, school staff and tour conductors.

How to buy

Make an application to purchase tickets at a branch that handles school trips at one of the agencies listed above.


* Please get the designated Tokyo Metro application form from the person in charge of school trips at the travel agency then fill in the required fields and return the application form at least 7 business days before the start of the school trip.

Tickets for Free Travel on Tokyo Metro, Toei Subway Lines, and JR Lines Within the 23 Wards

A ticket allowing unlimited rides on Tokyo Metro, Toei Subway, Toei Streetcar (Toden), Toei Bus (except for buses with fixed seats, etc.), all sections of Nippori-Toneri Liner as well as all JR lines within the Tokyo metropolitan area for one day as stated on the ticket.

Using 1-day Open Tickets

You can purchase them from ticket machines and Pass Offices at Tokyo Metro stations.
When purchasing a ticket at a ticket machine at the station, select the option [1-day Open Tickets] from the menu on the left and select the type of open ticket that you want.

  • Please purchase tickets from a Metro Pass Office if you are buying them in advance.
  • Please purchase the 24-hour Ticket for Students from applicable travel agents.

The ticket can be refunded if it is presented before it is used and before it has expired. *Please present it at a Tokyo Metro Pass Office.
A specific handling fee is charged in this case.

  • The Common 1-day Ticket for Tokyo Metro Line & Toei Subway and Common 1-day Open Ticket for Tokyo Metro Line & Toei Subway (PASMO) cannot be refunded by Tokyo Metro if it was purchased from someone other than Tokyo Metro. We apologize in advance for this.

You must first buy a new ticket for the route you wish to ride.
After that, a refund for your old ticket will be issued based on the method described in “Requesting a Refund” above.

As long as you entered the station while the ticket was still valid, you will still be able to exit even if 24 hours have passed. If you need to exit the ticket barriers to change trains, then even if you exit the station after the validity period has passed, you can still transfer trains as long as it is within 30 minutes of passing through the barriers.

One-day open tickets cannot be re-issued regardless of whether they have been lost before use or during use. Please purchase a new ticket.
