We offer a wide range of employee benefits to help our employees live vibrant lives.
We have provided a number of apartments for single employees and family homes, mainly in Tokyo, so that our employees can live there at lower prices than in the surrounding area. One attraction of company housing is that employees can connect with each other regardless of age or job type. Some apartments for single employees and family homes have car sharing for employees only, allowing them to drive when they want at an affordable price.

We have set up single apartments in eight locations for employees who cannot commute from home to work, such as those from regional areas.


We have set up family housing units in five locations in and around Tokyo to support future home ownership and asset building.


We have established a Tokyo Clubs as places for employees to exchange information and get to know each other. Food and drinks are provided at the cafeteria and barbecue area at employee prices. They are used in a variety of situations, such as lunch for employees, family use, and use with workplace members.
Sports facilities such as fields, gymnasiums, and tennis courts are also available, providing a place to refresh and improve health through exercise.

Tokyo Metro has directly-managed recreation facilities in Ito and Karuizawa, as well as many affiliated resort hotels. The facilities are also available to family members of employees, who are welcome to use them in a variety of ways according to their own preferences and purposes.

For field employees whose work requires overnight stays, we have introduced the "Okigata Shashoku" service*1 that enables them to purchase everyday dishes and rice from vending machines for 100 yen (tax included)*2 each.
Meals are supervised by a registered dietitian, providing well-balanced meals prepared with consideration for health.

Lunch delivery is available to employees at head office and other locations. At a reasonable price of 450 yen (tax included), employees can choose from a healthy menu that takes nutritional balance and calories into consideration. We also offer special menus every month to suit events etc.
Under this program, employees form a shareholding association with company support, and acquire company shares on a ongoing basis. Employees can acquire company shares through payroll deduction, and the company provides incentives for employee contributions. Through this program, each employee's efforts to increase corporate value and raise stock prices also lead to employee asset building.
We provide a Cafeteria Plan in which employees are given points every year and can use the points to choose from a range of benefit programs that suit their lifestyle and needs, such as travel, entertainment, and child-raising support.
Since 2023, we have expanded the program in an effort to improve workplace comfort and promote health management so that points can be used for purchasing clothes, health products, and sporting goods.


In order to deepen friendships among employees and promote health, we hold inter-workplace running relays, baseball tournaments, and other in-house events. These events create excitement and energy for the whole company. We also actively support club activities within the company, with 14 sports and eight cultural clubs currently active.
