Tokyo Metro has established the Mid-Term Basic Training Plan, which includes the following key themes for providing peace of mind - the company's unchanging responsibility - and fostering human resources that create our “Ideal Employee” Model who practices autonomy, challenge, and collaboration. We are also pursuing digital transformation in human resource development and optimizing the content and methods of various training courses and drills to create an environment where people can learn what they want to learn, whenever and wherever they want.
In addition to company-wide training tailored to individual levels and objectives, we are actively engaged in development and training tailored to the particular needs of each department.
We conduct safety training and compliance training for all employees at the Safety Consciousness Development Center in order to foster a high level of safety and scope of conduct awareness. In order to acquire basic business skills and engage with the external environment, we also provide optional video-based business school available to all employees, training through exchanges with other companies, and training to encourage career autonomy.
In order to achieve DE&I, we provide DE&I training for all employees, diversity management training for managers, and psychological safety improvement training with the aim of creating a workplace that welcomes the raising of differing views. We run the railway integrated technology academy program to deepen cross-departmental understanding of railway systems, and hold exchange courses to promote inter-departmental engagement and cooperation. We also conduct cross-departmental training to strengthen inter-departmental cooperation in the event of an emergency.
* Please see our Employee Training and Safety Research page for more information about employee training.
We aim for employees to acquire advanced knowledge and skills by providing training in the same environment as operational lines, without time constraints and without fear of failure. In addition to improving the skills of each employee, we conduct comprehensive human resource development through a variety of training programs designed to deepen engagement between departments and enhance the overall capabilities of the Tokyo Metro Group.
